Watched the movie 'A Wednesday' last week. Believe me it's a film best seen without any impressions. It's a film whose charm lies in its unraveling.
Anupam Kher plays the role of a Mumbai police commissioner who receives a phone call from an anonymous person (played by Naseeruddin Shah) demanding the releasing the four terrorists from the jails failing which he threaten to blow mumbai city with series of bomb.
Trust me its a spledid performance from Naseeruddin Shah. Anupam Kher has also done a great role. But I felt somewhere Naseeruddin overpowered Anupam. The plot of the movie is very intense and cut to cut. No lags, no frills, its a movie straight to the point with brilliant performance from the key roles.
Writer /Director Neeraj Pandey has done a great job by making this movie, its a end to end thriller with wonderful twist that's so unpredictable and fabulous. Neeraj should get kudos for the brilliant direction and the camera angels.
Naseeruddin Shah's speech over the climax of the movie is really really really super. Each word has so much weight and very wonderfully written dialougs and delivered exceptionally well by Naseeruddin Shah. His speech really deserves a standing ovation!!! Its a sheer dynamite.
A Wednesday is one of the bravest films ever made in India. I would say -Its a most engrossing movie I have seen in a long time. Do yourself a favour and watch A Wednesday !
